DAY 1 - WINDHOEK TO OMANDUMBA

You will be collected at the Coliving Space at 07:15 and transferred to Chameleon Safaris Headquarters for a short pre-departure meeting.

We travel north to Okahandja, then turn west and travel to the beautiful Erongo mountains. Tonight's campsite is located at Farm Omandumba West, which exemplifies what is meant by a typical Namibian farm: captivating landscapes, regenerative nature, rustic accommodations, exciting activities, and the renowned Namibian silence. We expect to arrive at our campsite before lunchtime. Set up camp and enjoy lunch between the huge granite boulders.

This afternoon, we will visit the San Living Museum. Visitors of the Living Museum get an interesting insight into the ancient hunter-gatherer culture and the traditional way of the San. Programs are offered, for example, the bush walk in Erongo, which visits the rock paintings, during which many plants and their uses are explained. The visitors can also go on a traditional hunt with the San and much more.

This evening, your guide will cook you a fantastic meal over the open fire.

Included Meals: Lunch & Dinner

Distance: 300 km drive
