PICTURE THIS
A small group journey through Namibia, camping under vast starry skies, sharing campfires, and waking up to the sounds of the wild as you travel across wide-open landscapes. Long days on the road, animals appearing where you least expect them, and evenings around the fire with no reception and no rush. You arrive as a group of strangers and leave as friends.
After this bonding adventure, you arrive in Swakopmund, where desert dunes meet the Atlantic Ocean. Stay for our optional cowork and community days: productive remote workdays, ocean air, early morning swims, and the same people around you. From safari adventure to routine, from strangers to community.

And afterwards:
Cowork & Community Days IN SWAKOPMUND
The Cowork & Community Days cost nothing on top of the safari and they are completely optional. You only pay for your own accommodation and whatever you choose to do in town. Everyone who wants to stay on is invited to settle into Swakopmund for a while, completely optional, no official program and no obligation.
What we bring is the community part. We'll point you to our favourite places to stay, introduce you to the coworking space we love, and share the people we trust for everything else. Surfing, quad biking, braais, sports, catamaran trips, kayaking with the seals. You book directly with them, we just make sure you end up in the right hands.
Stay at least two weeks and you'll get the most out of it.

TESTIMONIALS
From our coliving years in Windhoek, 2020 to 2025

DANIEL, 37, GERMANY
'During my time with WildWifi, I realized how crucial community and social connections are, far beyond what normal coworking spaces offer. WildWifi exceeded all my expectations. The concept of spending at least one month in a cohort was exactly what I had been looking for. The location was great, and the people were incredible. We connected on such a respectful, open-minded, and meaningful level. Tine and Una were simply amazing. They were always there for us, ensuring there was always something new to explore.

ANDREEA, 35, GERMANY
'My time at the WildWifi was nothing short of life-changing. Surrounded by remarkable remote professionals it felt like coming together with dear friends to work and explore Namibia. This was my first time working from abroad and it worked out so perfectly fine as wildwifi will have you sorted with everything you need: Strong internet, devices for rent, a lovely location, meet-ups with local friends, a lot of safari adventures and heartfelt staff at the coliving. Thank you for these unforgettable memories. It's not just once in a lifetime; you'll want to return'

MARK, 37, SCOTLAND
'I had a wonderful time at WildWifi! Beautiful coworking space and accommodation. Wonderful staff at the hotel. Great community vibe and option to be as social or as unsociable as you like based on your mood. The weekend trips were beyond sensational, ticked off a lot of bucket list items. Made some friends for life. I'll be back! If you're on the fence, jump off and get a flight to Namibia, you won't regret it.'

NICO, 38, GERMANY
Staying with WildWifi was fantastic. As someone who works a lot from home, Namibia was perfect for taking a break from Berlin. I felt incredibly comfortable and the weekend trips were amazing. The people in Windhoek were super friendly and helpful. Everything I needed was readily available. The Nomad Safari, in particular, was a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Highly recommend!

about wildwifi
“Hi, my name is Christine, I am 36 years, from Germany. I’ve spent over 16 years living part-time in Namibia. What started as a deep personal connection to this country has grown into creating thoughtfully curated experiences for like-minded remote workers and solo travelers, something I’ve been doing with WildWifi for the past 5 years.”

FOUNDER WILDWIFI
+6 years of community tours in namibia
WildWifi was created to bring remote workers and solo travellers together in Namibia, a country that is not easy to travel on your own.
After 6 years and more than 15 international groups in Windhoek, WildWifi 2.0 is the next step: no more co-living accommodation, just one guided safari tour a year, followed by optional remote work and community days on the coast in Swakopmund, where you book your own place.
The safari is operated by our trusted local partner Tracking Namibia Safaris. WildWifi acts solely as an intermediary and brings the community together.

FAQ
No, not the way it used to be. We no longer curate accommodation for the community to live in together. We went back to our roots, and that means one thing: safari.
You can still work remotely afterwards. Once the safari ends, everyone is invited to book their own place in Swakopmund, the small coastal town where we recommend staying another two weeks. Coworking spaces, coffee shops, restaurants, dunes on one side and the ocean on the other. Swim, surf, work at your own pace. There is no official WildWifi schedule anymore. Just go with the flow.
All prices are listed on this page together with what's included, the payment schedule and the full itinerary. Jump right to it.
Namibia is one of the safest countries in Africa to travel in. It's politically stable, tourism is well established, and outside the cities the challenges are mostly distance and heat rather than people and crime.
On the tour you're with a licensed local guide who has driven these routes for years, in a properly maintained 4x4, staying at established campsites. Passenger liability insurance and emergency air evacuation cover are included in the price. The things to actually plan for are the practical ones. Long driving days on gravel roads and strong sun.
In Swakopmund afterwards you use the same common sense you would in any small city to protect yourself from pickpocketing and theft. You'll notice it within a day. People say hello, nobody hassles you, and the biggest thing you'll worry about is whether you packed enough sunscreen. It's a relaxed coastal town, and you'll be there with people who know it well.
This expedition is designed for remote workers, digital nomads, freelancers, founders, creatives, and employees with remote contracts who want to combine meaningful travel with focused work. But it is also designed for any solo traveler who does not work remotely but would love to join the safari tour for a simple holiday. You don't have to call yourself a digital nomad or travel full-time to join this adventure.
It’s for people who:
-
value community over crowds
-
love nature and adventure
-
are curious, grounded, and open-minded
Most participants join solo. Feel free to join with your partner or friend.
-
This is not:
-
a party trip
-
a backpacker tour
-
a luxury safari
-
a typical coliving space
-
a typical coworking space
-
a “do nothing and be entertained” holiday
If you need constant comfort, room service, nightlife, or zero responsibility for your own energy and work rhythm — this probably isn’t the right fit.
-
No.
The safari itself is not for you to work remotely. It is pure leisure time, you need to take leave from work.
The Swakopmund Community & Cowork Days are the part where you return into a more regular work rhythm.
You are always responsible for managing your own workload.
Yes, tents are set up for two people by default. We do our best to pair people of the same sex. You can also of course share the tent with your friend or partner. If you'd rather have your own space, you can book a single tent for €320 for the whole trip. Just let us know when you book. Either way you get your own proper stretcher bed with full bedding, not just a thin mat on the floor.
Not on the Safari tour but afterwards in Swakopmund.
Reliable WiFi is available at: Coworking Spaces, in selected cafés in Swakopmund and most probably at your private accommodation. Swakopmund is one of the most stable locations in Namibia for remote work.
Moderate.
You should be comfortable with:
-
camping (Floor tents, comfortable stretchers, bedding, small pillow)
-
early mornings
-
long distance drives during the day
-
some hiking trips
You do not need to be extremely fit. Activities are adapted to the group.
-
Camping in Namibia is a lot more comfortable than most people expect. All the campsites we stay at have proper ablutions with running water, showers and toilets.
You sleep in ground tents, shared by default, with single tents available if you'd rather have your own space. And you get a real stretcher bed with full bedding, not a thin mat on the floor. Camping chairs, tables, firewood and all the equipment come with us in the trailer.
This is a participation tour, so everyone pitches in with setting up camp and packing up in the morning. It takes fifteen minutes with the whole group and it's honestly part of the fun. Your guide cooks fresh meals every day, and the evenings around the fire take care of themselves.
Yes, we cater for vegetarians and vegans. Dietary requirements are requested upfront.
Absolutely.
Most WildWifi guests join solo.
The experience is designed for individuals who want community without pressure.
-
Minimum: 4 participants
-
Ideal: 6–10 participants
We intentionally keep the group small.

Cancellations are handled by Tracking Namibia Safaris under their terms and conditions. If you cancel 60 days or more before departure you lose the 30% deposit, from 59 to 46 days 50% of the total is payable, from 45 to 31 days 75%, and from 30 days onwards the full amount. This is why travel cancellation insurance is a requirement for joining. WildWifi acts solely as an intermediary. The tour is operated by Tracking Namibia Safaris, and you book and pay directly with them under their terms and conditions you find here.
Not at all. The safari is the trip you book, and it ends in Swakopmund. What happens after that is entirely up to you.
That said, this is the part people underestimate. After twelve days in the same vehicle you've stopped being strangers, and Swakopmund is where those connections settle into something easier. Morning swims, coffee shops with ocean views, working next to each other for a few hours, dinners that go on longer than planned, and a town small enough that you keep running into the same faces.
What makes it work is that you have your own place. You can be as social as you feel like and still have your own space and your own quiet time. Nobody keeps track of who shows up to what.
Every year we have someone who booked their flight home for the day after the tour and wished they hadn't. So if there's any chance you might want to stay, book a flexible return flight. You can always leave early. You can't always extend.
If you do stay, we recommend at least two weeks. Below that it's over before it starts.
Not from us. There is no fee on top of the safari price for joining them.
What you do pay for is your own accommodation in Swakopmund (Which you can also book and share with your newly made friends), your food, and anything you choose to do in town. You book your own place, so you decide entirely what you spend. A coworking day pass, a braai on the beach, a surf lesson, all of that is yours to pick and pay for directly.
We'll point you to the places and people worth knowing, so you don't have to work any of it out yourself.
Yes, you’re welcome to. The Swakopmund Cowork & Community days are fully voluntary anyways. You can choose if you want to book your own airbnb or accommodation in Swakopmund to work from the city or if you move on. We recommend to stay at least 2 weeks after the Safari tour ended to enjoy the perks of the coastal life and to hang out with your newly made friends and locals.
